Drooooool!!

Oh dear..!
I have touched THIS beauty today:
Yep! The Bernina 820.

She is a beauty to look at and so smooth to touch *sigh*.

I think I may just have fallen in love!

But... dang! It is so expensive...

Then again... If I really, really like this machine, which I suspect I might, then it is probably a keeper for many, many years.

Can you hear the inner voices here, huh??

Does any of you have any experience regarding the Bernina 820 - or any other Bernina for that matter - then I would love to hear from you!!

Thanks :)

Hi Ann,
I saw your post on QuilterBlogs.com and just wanted to chime in here.
I happen to have the 830 and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. It's the best machine I've ever hand - EVER!!! And I'm sure the 820 is just as wonderful.

Mine is a year and a half old and I have not had any problems whatsoever.

Hugs.

Ann, I have an 820 that I got in the spring and I love it! It is so nice to have a larger machine to fit quilts through! It can be frustrating for me at times, because it is so different than other machines, even though I also have a Bernina 440. It just does so many things and there are so many options (which is a good thing) there is a lot to learn! I sometimes have skipped stitches when I use the stitch regulator, but when I use the regular quilting foot it is fine. Bernina is aware of the stitch regulator problem and I think they are working on it. But I'm so happy with it! I love the dual feed! I also got the Bernina quilt frame with it which was a big reason for the purchase. If you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them!

I have a 1530 and a 730. Love them. But I also "touched" the 830 recently and convinced it needs to come home with me. I'm working on re-organizing my sewing room and trying to get rid of a few things, with the hopes of bringing home an 830 to a clean & organized sewing room in 2011.

Thank you for your comment on my blog on my FMQ! I have a feeling Rita Red Pepper quilts has one of the all singing all dancing Berninas but I can't remember which one - I just remember seeing it appear on her blog and feeling a little envious!
